TRYG, one of the largest insurance companies in Norway known for its customer-oriented approach to insurance and the vision to be at the forefront and create products with the end-user in focus. Knowing that young car drivers are charged with more expensive policies, TRYG Forsikring A/S Norge highlighted the need for more flexible alternative adapts to a younger target group and changing driver behaviors.
Together with Greater Than, the app and product Sidekick was developed. Sidekick is a standalone offering targeting youngsters age 18-30. The dynamic and app-based insurance offer was successfully launched in 2018 and is based on a fixed amount and where users can earn deductibles as a reward for good and safe driving behaviour as well as when recruiting friends.
