  • Finalists were selected from over 2,000 FinTech companies globally
  • Greater Than uses AI for good to convert GPS data into crash probability and climate impact insights, optimizing risk forecasting and pricing in motor insurance

Greater Than (GREAT.ST), the global provider of driver crash probability and climate impact intelligence, has been included in the AIFinTech100 list for the second time. The list, published today by FinTech Global, recognizes the world’s most innovative companies who are developing AI and machine learning technologies to solve challenges or improve efficiency in financial services.

“Generative AI tools like ChatGPT have shown how advanced AI technology has become,” said FinTech Global Director Richard Sachar. “Financial institutions will need to explore how they can leverage the latest AI and data analytics technology, or they risk being left behind by competition. The new AIFinTech100 list gives senior decision-makers the knowledge of the best vendors in the market and those leading the charge on innovation.”

Since the launch of ChatGPT in November 2022, AI has been a major talking point. AI has captured the imagination of everyone, with financial institutions now exploring how they can incorporate it to transform their operations. A recent survey from The Economist found that 85% of banks have a clear strategy for adopting AI in the development of new products and services.

The huge market opportunity for AI has created a hotbed of tech providers building AI or data solutions to solve challenges in areas such as banking, insurance, customer experience, investment & trading and compliance. As a result, the selection process for this year’s AIFinTech100 list was exceptionally competitive. Finalists were chosen by a panel of industry experts and analysts based on research produced by FinTech Global on over 2,000 FinTech companies.

“With so much activity and competition in the AI space I’m really proud that Greater Than has been selected as one of the world’s top 100 innovative providers of AI that can help address some of the most pressing challenges in the financial sector,” said Liselott Johansson, CEO of Greater Than. “We’re proud that our AI is used for good to provide insurers with predictive risk insights that not only facilitate accurate risk forecasting and pricing but incentivize safe, sustainable driving.”

Greater Than’s unique pattern AI technology converts GPS driving data into crash probability and climate impact intelligence. Within the motor insurance industry this is utilized for optimized profit and loss forecasting, to enhance existing pricing models and create entirely new usage-based products.
